Information Processing System Security Containers offer protection for 30 man-minutes against covert entry, 10 man-minutes against forced entry, and 20 man-hours against surreptitious entry.
IPS safes offer a low cost alternative to expensive SCIF room build-outs inside existing facilities. IPS safes with a GSA Approved Label on the door face are NSA & GSA approved and exceed all U.S. DoD specifications for the online operation, storage, and protection of COMSEC material & related electronic hardware / software.
IPS security containers are equipped with two (2) fan motors to exhaust warm air from inside the safe while drawing in cooler, exterior air through the interior of the safe, maintaining an interior temperature of plus or minus a degree of the ambient air temperature outside the safe.
COMPUSEC, INFOSEC, and TACLANE electronics and materials are a small sample of what can be installed inside IPS safes. An X-10™ or S&G 2740B safe lock that meets Federal Specification FF-L-2740 must be used on the security container when the contents are rated classified, secret or top-secret material.
Class 5 Information Processing Containers are GSA approved under Federal Specification AA-C-2786
