GSA Labels
All GSA containers must have a GSA label affixed on the front of the top drawer, control door or to the front of the door.
If a container has no GSA label then it is no longer approved. To obtain a new label you must get your GSA container recertified by a GSA Container Inspector.
GSA safes that were manufactured before October 1990 have a GSA label with black lettering on a silver background (or silver on black).
Class 5 & Class 6 safes manufactured after October 1990 have silver label with red lettering (or red with silver lettering).
Class 7 containers have a silver label with green lettering.
Information Processing System containers (IPS containers) have a GSA label with blue lettering.
